UMD Rec Sports & Outdoor Program
On Friday August 8th, meet outside the pool by the tennis courts @ 9 am if you need a ride in the van. Cost is $10 for tubing and bring extra money for pizza at Sammy’s Pizza in West Duluth.
Parents and friends are encouraged to come and have fun too!
Tubing down the river takes about 3 hours, then we head back home for pizza. We could be back at UMD as early as 5 pm or as late as 6:30 pm.

Two days are planned so far for our NSSC Friday Fun Days! There is no cost unless notified, all ages are encouraged to come!
Friday June 13, we will head to Ely’s Peak out near Gary New Duluth. Meet in the Stadium parking lot @ 8:45 am. The passenger van will only hold 12 people including the coaches. Parents are encouraged to come and escort and/or drive athletes to the Becks Road Munger Trail Crossing near Gary New Duluth.
Bring water and snacks, a rain coat, sweatshirt, etc. We will climb Ely’s peak via the Superior Hiking trail and venture beyond to the skyline overlook. We should be back by 1-1:30. Please call Coach Tone for any details, 218.341.1020
Friday June 20, we are going north to Gooseberry Falls State Park. 
Meet in the Stadium parking lot @ 8:45 am. The passenger van will only hold 12 people including the coaches. Parents are encouraged to come and escort and/or drive athletes to Gooseberry Falls State Park. Parking is $10 per vehicle I do believe.
We will hike down the trail that parallels the river, take a look at the falls, go for a swim in the lake, play capture the flag, and hike back up. Please bring a rain coat, swim suit, goggles, cap, sweatshirt, shoes, snacks, water, etc. We will stop at Dairy Queen in Two Harbors on the way home.
